My book, “Alaska: A Photographic Excursion,” won the national Benjamin Franklin Award as one of the best books published in the USA in 2007. I was in LA on May 29th to receive the award at a gala awards banquet with over 500 invited guests. The Independent Book Publishers of America (IBPA) representing over 4,000 publishers sponsored the annual contest. Over 1,800 books were entered in this years contest with my book winning best book in the regional category. It is a great honor to receive this award and reaffirms my passion for Alaska, photography and publishing. -Mark Kelley
