Last week I spent three days at the Anan Forest Service cabin in Wrangell, Alaska, with family and friends celebrating my birthday. I had a wonderful time photographing bears, but almost had more fun celebrating, eating chocolate cake, drinking mojitos, and singing a rousing rendition of the Beatles song “When I Am Sixty-four”. I wanted to share this wonderful moment I captured of a baby black bear bawling for its mom after getting separated and climbing a tree for safety.
