Baby Black Bear, Anan Creek #3017

Jul 26, 2017

Last week I spent three days at the Anan Forest Service cabin in Wrangell, Alaska, with family and friends celebrating my birthday. I had a wonderful time photographing bears, but almost had more fun celebrating, eating chocolate cake, drinking mojitos, and singing a rousing rendition of the Beatles song “When I Am Sixty-four”. I wanted to share this wonderful moment I captured of a baby black bear bawling for its mom after getting separated and climbing a tree for safety. Thank you to the Brenda, John, Nancy and the rest of the crew from Alaska Charters and Adventures in Wrangell for organizing our trip! Thank you for visiting.
