Auke Recreation Area, Juneau, Alaska #3436

Alaska native canoes arrive at the Auke Recreation Area celebrating the informal start of Celebration 2022. Celebration first started in 1982 and is a biennial Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian cultural event. Approximately 1,200 dancers will perform during the four-day event at Centennial Hall, the Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall, and the new Sealaska Arts Campus. Events start on Wednesday, June 8^th, and run through Saturday, June 11. Celebration has grown to be the largest cultural event in Alaska. Thank you for visiting and the gift of your time.
