Auke Lake is one of my most popular photo subjects. The serene lake backdropped by the Mendenhall Towers and Mendenahll Glacier is just drop dead beautiful. Even if I don’t produce a photo, I love my hours exploring the shoreline and all of the possible angles. The University of Alaska-Southeast campus is located on Auke Lake and enjoys this view. This photo illustrates page 1 in my book, Juneau Portrait II. Camera: Nikon F4, Lens: 35-75mm f/2.8 Nikkor polarized, Film: 35mm Fuji Velvia.-Mark Kelley
