Today it is snowing in town and snowing very heavy in the mountains. I think winter is officially here. This image was taken in early January of the docks at Auke Bay. Mostly the ice does not form around the docks because there is too much tidal action. But, in this case it had been cold for a while and the ice formed inside the dock. This sunset was really this vibrant and the person walking into the frame just happened along right at the exact moment I need someone in the frame at the exact place as the last vestige of the sun sank over the horizon.
