Alaska Goes to Africa: Kruger National Park, South Africa – Image 2658

Oct 1, 2013

My website usually only shows images of Alaska. But for next couple of months, I plan to show images of Africa that I took last October while visiting South Africa and Namibia. I hope you don’t mind and indulge my temporary divergence. October in Kruger National Park is the end of winter and the height of the dry season. The summer rains start in late November and December. The animals gather around the water holes and rivers because there is really no water anywhere else. For me this is the classic African images of a mix of animals around a water hole in the dry season. Enjoy the image and thanks for visiting.
