Rufous Hummingbird, Gull Cove, Alaska #3353

Jun 16, 2020

Last week I posted a collage of four hummingbird photos and asked for your help in picking one to appear in a future Mark Kelley calendar. The response was overwhelming. Between all my social media accounts, 156 friends voiced their opinion. The clear winner was the image of the hummingbird just about ready to land on the tip of a spruce branch. The image won by an almost 3 to 1 margin. There were too many comments to respond to, but rest assured I read them all, and thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for commenting. I learned a lot because, while I obviously liked all four images, this image was not my top choice. After considering all of the comments on why you liked this image so much, I must agree with the majority. This image is now my top choice for the next calendar. Stay healthy and thank you for visiting – camera: #Nikon #D850, Lens: #Nikkor 80-400, Digital Capture, Handheld ©Mark Kelley
