Spaulding Meadows, Juneau, Alaska – Image 2805

Spaulding Meadows is my go-to place when the snow is fresh and the sun is shining. I love our local ski area, Eaglecrest , but the ski resort was placed in such way as to preserve snow. In the depth of winter the area is in the shade. When the sun is out, I want to recreate in it all day,and Spaulding Meadows is the place to be. It helps that the mountain backdrops are to die for. This image illustrates the month of March in my 2013 Southeast Alaska Calendar. Enjoy the photo and thanks for visiting. The image features my wife, Jan, and our friend, Beth, with her dog.
