Glacier Bay Beach, Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska – Image 2707

Most people (almost 99%) visit Glacier Bay National Park by boat. It is a water park and leaves just a few options for backpacking. But, while doing the book on the park I had an opportunity to backpack its beaches for about a week. I love this image. Matter of fact, it is one of my favorite images of all time, but I have had no commercial success with it. I am not sure why I like it so much and have been trying to figure why it does not sell. Usually if I really like a photo it sells in the market place, but this image does not. Oh well…”C’est la vie”. This image is featured on page 72 in my photo book on the park: “Glacier Bay National Park: Alaska.” Enjoy the photo and thanks for visiting. Once again as a reminder, I will be leading a small boat photo cruise in Glacier Bay National Park this coming July with Dolphin Charters (www.dolphincharters.com), July 6-12,2011. Come join me for a week-long cruise in the bay exploring Alaska. Have a great new year. Camera body: F5, Lens: Nikkor 20-35mm f/2.8 Film: 35mm Velvia, ASA 50, digitally scanned© Mark Kelley
