Brown Bear, Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska #3019

Aug 9, 2017

A large coastal brown bear is an impressive animal, just check out its claws. I photographed this bear last week at low tide in Glacier Bay National Park while leading a photo workshop onboard the M/V Delphinus for Captain Ronn Patterson. It is a wonder me that this powerful animal makes a living eating the many small creatures it finds at low tide, along with the sedges and plant roots found above high tide. I will be leading another tip to Glacier Bay in 2018 on board the “Delphinus” (June 23 to July 1).  Contact me if you are interested.  Thank you for visiting. Enjoy.
