Haines, Alaska – Image 2482

The small community of Haines (population 1,800) has to have one the prettiest settings for a town anywhere in the Alaska. Haines is located at the top of Lynn Canal, about 70 ferry miles north of Juneau. The historic Port Chilkoot and the Chilkat Mountains reflect in the mirror-still waters at low tide. Camera: Nikon F/5, Lens: 35-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor lens polarized , Film 35mm Velvia 100 slide film.-Mark Kelley
