Chilkoot River Fly Fishing, Haines, Southeast Alaska – Image 2370

The huge boulders pok-a-dotting the Chilkoot River in Haines makes for greatvantage points to shoot fishermen in a very popular fishing river. So oftenshooting from ground level, the fisherman’s upper body or head gets lost inthe river bank or trees. The higher vantage point allows me to separate thefisherman out from the distracting background and place him clearly in theriver.
