Bald Eagle, Anan Creek,Alaska – Image 2798

Oct 1, 2013

My go-to place to photograph wildlife is Anan Creek. The place is famous for its populations of black and brown bears, but I find it a fantastic place to photograph eagles especially in July. I shot this bald eagle from the bear viewing platform at the falls at Anan Creek. The eagle was sitting on a log next to young spruce tree that was using the fallen tree as a nurse log. In my last three calendars, my eagle photos have all come from Anan shoots. This image illustrates the month of June in my Southeast Alaska 2013 Calendar. Enjoy the photo and thanks for visiting.
