A Wings of Alaska Otter airplane piloted by Juneau pilot, Rusty Staub, flies over the Juneau Icefield. The ice field consists of about 1,500 square miles of ice sprawling from Juneau east over the border to Canada and north almost to Skagway in Southeast Alaska. This Rhode Island-sized ice mass spawns more than 30 major glaciers including the Mendenhall, the Herbert and the Taku glaciers.
