Mt. Fairweather is the park’s most famous peak with a standing height of 15,320 feet. It is taller than any other mountain in the lower 48, yet in Alaska it only ranks 19th among Alaska’s towering peaks. In Europe, only the Mont Blanc in France is taller, and just by 471 feet.
