Dog Mushing, Juneau Icefield, Alaska #3111

Aug 14, 2019

This summer I spent a full day on the Norris Glacier with NorthStar Trekking. In this image three dog sleds mush their way across the Juneau Icefield. The 1,500 square-mile Juneau Icefield is larger than the state of Rhode Island and hosts three dog camps that are only accessible by helicopter. Visitors can enjoy a trip of a lifetime traveling across snow covered glaciers on this unique means of transportation.  Enjoy – Camera: Nikon D850, Lens: Nikkor 80-400mm, Handheld ©Mark Kelley
