Troller, Sitka Sound Sitka, Alaska – Image 2488

Sitka and the surrounding Sitka Sound are one of the prettiest spots in Alaska. In Southeast Alaska, Sitka is the only town that sits on the outside coast facing the Gulf of Alaska. The sound contains literally hundreds of little islands all back dropped by 3,000 to 5,000 foot mountains. I shot this photo from Castle Hill in Sitka looking across the Sound. The lighthouse in the photo is a replica that was built on its own island as a bed and breakfast. This season I started a line of postcards with this image being one in a line of 42 different styles.
