Nugget Pond, Camp Denali, Denali National Park, Alaska-Image 2928

Sep 9, 2015

Fall in Denali National Park usually starts sometime in late August with the peak colors arriving in the first week of September. Usually by mid-September the rich crimson tundra turns to brown. I shot this photo from the dining room steps at Camp Denali. I was there in fall of 2014 leading a photo workshop for the camp. Camp Denali is the only lodge that has a 24-7 view of Denali. The view from the lodge is to die for and the amenities and food are just as good. I have been invited back in 2016 to lead two sessions of workshops, August 26-28 and August 29-September 1, 2016. See you there! This photo illustrates the cover of my 2016 Alaska Calendar and the month of August. Thank you for visiting. Camera: Nikon D800,  Lens: Nikkor 24-120 F/4, ISO 200, digital, polarized – Copyright Mark Kelley
