Moose in Wonder Lake, Denali National Park, Alaska – Image 2887

A lot of photography is luck and being in the right place at the right time. This is a photo I could never plan. I thank my lucky stars for aligning and making it happen. I have shot or driven by Wonder Lake probably more than 100 times and only once did I see a moose in the lake and it happened on a day Denali was showing. Most of the days that I have been around Wonder Lake, Denali is not showing. The old adage works for me, “The harder I work, the luckier I get.” This season I started a line of postcards with this image being one in a line of 42 different styles. -Mark Kelley
