Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau, Alaska-Image #2938

Nov 19, 2015

I love snow, and the Juneau area has been getting hit with large dumps of snow for the past few days. The world of winter white looks great. Virgin snow and sunshine makes any place look oh-so perfect, yet last year our town did not get much snow, and I missed it. This shot is from the one day when I was able to shoot the magic of early morning light with hikers getting first tracks. I am looking forward to a winter full of snow and all the fun that goes with it. Enjoy the snow while it lasts. This photo illustrates the month of February in my 2016 Alaska Calendar.
