Gulf of Alaska, Prince William Sound, Alaska-Image #2949

Feb 5, 2016

Alaska is a favorite cruise destination and last summer I joined Princess Cruises as an on-board lecturer. I presented a photography show to almost four hundred guests, featuring Alaska nature and wildlife images, while cruising from Whittier across the Gulf of Alaska. We were crossing the Gulf in the evening and the water was flat as a pancake. I shot this photo of a cloud blank heading toward the mountains somewhere in Prince William Sound at 11:45pm (just before midnight).  It was a magical and memorable moment. Thank you for visiting.
