Fairweather Sunset, Idaho Inlet, Icy Strait, Alaska…Image # 2894

This is one of my all-time favorite sunsets. Some look at this photo, and think I just added a black box below the mountain horizon. Actually, the lighting conditions were such that the ocean turned black. Ask any mariner and they will agree that there are times when such a lighting condition happens.
