Bald Eagles, Chilkat River, Haines, Southeast Alaska – Image 2388

Every November the largest collection of bald eagles in the world amassalong a 21-mile stretch of the Chilkat River just outside the small town ofHaines, Alaska. The river is kept open from freezing by some hot springswhich in turns supports a late salmon run.
